Surgical Technique – Step by Step
- Make an incision on the dorsal surface.
- Retract the skin with skin hooks or a retractor.
- Perform osteotomies on both surfaces.
- Drill a hole in both phalanges using the Inion FreedomPin™ K-wire. Measure the depth.
- Cut the bioabsorbable Inion FreedomPin™ to the desired length.
- Introduce the Inion FreedomPin™ into the proximal phalanx first.
- Then insert the distal end of the pin into the middle phalanx.
- Straighten the toe into the corrected position.
- The bioabsorbable Inion FreedomPin™ fully resorbs in 2–4 years.
