by Dr. Jae Woo Jang
Chief Surgeon
Oculoplastic Center, Kim’s Eye Hospital

In this webinar, Dr. Jae Woo Jang talks about the reconstruction of orbital wall fracture ”Past, Now and Future“ based on his experience of over 30 years.

There are various types of implants used for orbital fracture reconstruction surgery. I used silastic sheet at first, then medpore product, and now I use an absorbable material.

There are still doctors who are not sure about the use of absorbable materials for orbital fracture surgery, but I would like to inform you that there is no problem with my experience so far.

In addition, orbital fracture surgery is evolving into a patient customizing treatment in the future as well as the development of materials used.

A 3D implant that accurately fits the patient’s fractured area using CT and navigation surgery for precise surgery will be widely used.” – Dr. Jae Woo Jang
